Video Your Vote!

Next week we are going to be taking part in a project sponsored by PBS (The McNeil-Lehrer News Hour) and Youtube which concerns the coming election. This project, Video Your Vote!, calls for you to become citizen journalists and go out and seek a story. Basically, they want students to chronicle the voting experience, voter attitudes, etc.

We are going to be working in small groups for this project, but while you tie up loose ends on our current film I'd like you to start thinking about this project*. In service of this, you have two journal entries due for next week. I have added these journal entries to our class wiki if you'd like to get a head start.

Reflective Writing Piece

As you know, we are working on a reflective writing piece that revolves around our one shot films.

Find the assignment sheet here.
Find suggestions for organization here.

Observations about Films

Today we discussed some of your films in the context of your paper.  Here's what you shared:
Tiera W - Her film showed that life is a nightmare and that we just have to face it.
Jessica P - Her film showed that minimum wage is all we need and that we need to keep things simple and not be materialistic.
Chelci - Her film showed that people are lonely and that life can be tedious.
